Soybean Seed Treatment Study

Seed prices are increasing and farmers can not afford to use the current high seeding rates to stay competitive. A lower seeding rate does not always mean a lower yield since the soybean plant is able to compensate for space. There is still a risk of lower yields in smaller stands.

Soybean seed treatment may be a way to improve soybean stands and profitability, but limited information exists on their use and effectiveness. Therefore we designed this study to determine the effects of seed treatments on soybean plant populations and yield.

This study is funded by Syngenta.
