Jason De Bruin, Ph.D.
Assistant Scientist
My position has two major roles. The field component is where I help coordinate the planting and management of field research projects. The office component is where I support the program through data analysis and communicate research results through presentations and scientific writing.
Background
I grew up on a farm in southeast Iowa near Oskaloosa. My family still
lives on the farm where my father, brother, uncle, and cousin continue
to raise corn, soybean, hogs, and cattle. Growing up on the farm generated
my interest in crop production and I enjoy studying and
researching crop production issues that affect farmers every day in Iowa.
