RUSLE2 – Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation 2
RUSLE2 is an advanced software model that predicts soil erosion by water. RUSLE2 runs as a Windows program and can be used for a broad range of crop and soil management systems. It relies on extensive climate, soil, vegetation, and cropping management databases that model are currently being modified. It is the policy of USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to use the Revised Universal Soil Loss Equation 2 (RUSLE2) to estimate soil
erosion on cropland and pastureland. To access the same soil loss equation used by NRCS use the link below.

WEPP – Water Erosion Prediction Project
WEPP is a process-oriented, simulated soil erosion prediction model. It is applicable to small watersheds and can simulate small profiles up to large fields. It relies on climate, soil, vegetation, and cropping management databases that frequently updated to reflect current conditions. WEPP runs as a Windows program.
