The top five 'major barriers' identified in offering ICM as a profit making service include farmers not willing to pay fees at a level that makes ICM a profitable service (84%), farmers don't believe ICM offers much advantage over existing no-charge services (66%), difficulty in finding persons with sufficient expertise to deliver ICM service (53%), farmers prefer 'blanket' preventative applications rather than accept the risk of needing corrective action later (50%), and belief that the benefits of ICM may not justify costs, especially for
